The Threadlift

"The 60 minute non-surgical facelift... that really works!"

The Threadlift procedure is a non-surgical, no scar facelift performed using tiny surgical sutures (called threads) to lift and support droopy elements of the face, cheeks, neck and brow. The threads are inserted under the skin in precise locations using a small hollow needle placed painlessly after local numbing of the area. The thread is able to grasp onto the droopy soft tissue which is then lifted and repositioned into a more youthful position. The threads are then secured deep under the skin.

The most important factor in the success of the threadlift is proper patient selection. The threadlift is not for everybody. For some people with early aging, no procedure is recommended. For others with advanced aging, the threadlift may not give an adequate improvement. For the right candidate, however, the threadlift can provide a pleasing, natural rejuvenation of the face with the benefit of no general anesthesia and a rapid recovery.

The threadlift can also be performed in combination with other desired cosmetic procedures such as liposculpture of the neck, eyelid surgery and laser resurfacing for wrinkle reduction.

The threadlift procedure takes approximately one hour to perform under local numbing and the results are immediate. Discomfort is minimal and bruising and swelling in most cases is minor. Most patient resume quiet activities the next day and most patients, depending on your tolerance for minor swelling, wear make-up and return to work within several days. The threadlift results are expected to be pleasing for years to come and may be repeated. The threadlift does not impede the option of having a more extensive facelift in the future.

The most important step in selecting a cosmetic procedure is an individualized private consultation with your board-certified plastic surgeon.
