What is the Vampire Facial®?

The Vampire Facial is the combination of a microdermabrasion treatment followed by the application of PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma).

What is PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma)?

PRP is derived from the serum portion of the blood and contains rich platelets and growth factors which stimulate rejuvenation, recovery and cell turnover.

How does it work?

The first step of the treatment requires sourcing the PRP to be used during the facial. After a quick blood draw, your blood is spun in our orthopedic grade centrifuge to isolate the PRP from the rest of the blood. Next, an Esthetician or Nurse Practitioner will perform the microdermabrasion with a microneedling tool to “open up” microchannels in order for the PRP to penetrate deep in the skin. Then for the final and most beneficial step, the PRP will be generously applied to the skin. This will initiate the process of repair and rebuilding, leaving your skin looking youthful, rejuvenated and glowing!

What is the recovery?

Redness similar to a sunburn is typical for one or two days following the treatment, depending upon the depth and aggressiveness of the microneedling. Sunscreen and moisturizers are always recommended after the treatment, available in our MediSpa.

Vampire Variations

Vampire Facial® Deep

This variation of the Vampire Facial® is exactly the same process except it goes even deeper. Estheticians are not authorized to go this deep into the skin, so a Registered Nurse is required to administer this treatment. Recommended for signs of aging, fine lines, acne scars and wrinkles.

Vampire Facelift®

One step further than Vampire Facial® Deep, the Vampire Facelift® is the highest level of treatment we offer. This treatment goes the deepest by actually injecting the PRP into specific areas that require more attention, such as deep lines and wrinkles and severe acne scars. The Vampire Facelift® is also administered by a Registered Nurse.
